The Fourth Annual Southwest Florida Birding & Wildlife Festival at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center.
The three-day festival, scheduled for January 18-20, 2008, offers guided field trips to natural areas around the region, expert presentations, hands-on activities, workshops and more. Admission to the festival is $20 for three days, or $10 for a one-day pass. Kids under 12 get free admission. Field trips require pre-registration and carry an additional fee.

March 8, Sat . "Save the Panther Week Kick-off" at the Naples Zoo . 9:30 - 4pm
Spend a fun day at the zoo with educational exhibits, ask questions to a Panther Team Biologist and enjoy kids activities like face painting! Organizations that are uniting to protect the Panther, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge, Picayune State Forest, FL Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Defenders of Wildlife, The National Wildlife Federation, and more!

Explore the mysterious "Amazon of Southwest Florida" with the knowledgeable biologist. A dynamic speaker who shares his passion for Orchids and the history of the Fakahatchee, Mike will open your senses to a whole new world! RSVP, from March 5.

Bicycle the Big Cypress National Preserve & learn about Panthers from the Rangers.
March 15, Sat . "Save the Panther Day at the Panther Refuge" . 8 - Noon
Share a fun day with your family, while exploring the Panther Refuge from a swamp buggy or walking the trails learning about birds, orchids, and of course, looking for the wild panther! You'll be able to learn more about what YOU can do as an individual to help save the panther and its habitat. We offer tours, educational information, an advocacy workshop, and fun kids activities!
